This is a cracking Pinot from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. It’s also at a fantastic price. It is light to medium bodied with soft up front cherry flavours and a very smooth finish. Would be great chilled down in the fridge for drinking on a hot day. The winery sells this wine under its brand for $30.00 per bottle. It is an absolute bargain for from us at $15.00.

 Score – 90/100 WACC Silver Medal.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with Crispy skin duck and Asian greens.

What is Pinot Noir? 

Pinot Noir is a red wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. The name may also refer to wines created predominantly from Pinot noir grapes. The name is derived from the French words for pine and black; the pine alluding to the grape variety having tightly clustered, pinecone-shaped bunches of fruit.

When young, wines made from Pinot noir tend to have red fruit aromas of cherries, raspberries and strawberries. As the wines age, Pinots have the potential to develop vegetal and “barnyard” aromas that can contribute to the complexity of the wine. –
