Adelaide Hills ‘The Peak’ Rose 2019
$12.00eachCustom Label Designer
About the Wine:
The 2019 vintage in South Australia was warm and dry, resulting in wine with generous varietal characters. This wine has a crunchy refreshing acidity that finishes pleasantly dry with lingering berry and citrus flavours.
Comments from Wine Buyer Steve:
This is a beautiful 2019 dry style Rose from the Adelaide Hills. It is pale salmon pink in colour with lifted strawberry and subtle floral/spice notes. A light bodied wine with berry and red currant flavours that finishes with a grapefruit citrus core. Refreshing and juicy acidity supported by a crunchy tannin structure results in a wine that finishes clean, crisp and dry
The winery sells this wine under its brand for $19.00 per bottle. It is an absolute bargain for from us at $12.00. Ideal wine for sunny afternoons, lazy lunches, or just slipping into the mood…
My score 91/100 – WACC Silver Medal

What is rose?
A rose is a type of wine that incorporates some of the color from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as a red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method.
Rose is not colour specific, shades can range from the merest suggestion of a blush to a full-on purple fit. Cerise, cranberry, fairy floss, fuchsia, magenta, maroon, ruby, strawberry, peach, tangerine, salmon, vermilion and yes, rose – the flower. Half the pleasure in pouring a glass is its looks. It’s vinous eye-candy. Throw in a few million bubbles and it’s captivating in sparkling form
