This is a stunning 2018 oaked Chardonnay from the boutique, family-owned winery. The fruit was all handpicked and basket pressed. The wine has been matured in new and used French oak for 12 months. The oak integration is amazing together with the fresh flavours of peach and melon and fine citrus flavours. This is a Chardonnay that is going to get better and better with age This is exceptional value at $17.00 per bottle as the winery sells it under the brand at $25.00 per bottle.

About The Producer
The producer of this sensational oaked 2018 Chardonnay is in the heart of Karri country in Pemberton. Nestled among the towering karri forests of the Pemberton wine region, the well-established vineyard is named in recognition of the early surveyors and pioneers who first settled Western Australia’s beautiful South West. They were robust, fiercely independent and of good solid character. The first vines (Chardonnay) were planed in 1996 and are tendered with lots of love and care to produce beautiful wines of class and distinction.
About the region:
As one of Australia’s youngest wine regions, gazetted in 2006, the small Pemberton Wine Region has already established a reputation for being one the most exciting emerging wine regions. The first commercial vineyard was established in Pemberton in 1982, since then over 40 vineyards have been established in this unique environment.
Surrounding Pemberton and Northcliffe, the region is home to many picturesque vineyards that adjoin karri forests. Most of the vineyards of the Pemberton Wine Region lie between the Donnelly River and the Warren River that flows through the region’s middle. The region is frequently referred to as “Karri Country” after the beautiful Karri forests. The soil supporting the region is karri loam a rich, red, fertile soil.
It combines southern latitude with high altitude 100 t0 200 metres above sea level and has a relatively cool climate, making it ideal for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and suited to the production of refined Bordeaux-style wines.
