About the Wine:

This Porongurup Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2023 is characterized by weightier fruit and a more textural palate than previous years and a residual fruit sweetness but is balanced out by a refreshing natural acidity.  Subtle passionfruit and lemon curd carry the palate through to fresh basil on the finish.  The acid lingers on the finish for a persistence of flavour.

Comments from Wine Buyer Steve:

What a classic variety from one of WA’s cooler climate regions. We have been lucky to secure a good parcel of this superb Savvy B from one of the regions premier producers who are rated a perfect 5 red Stars by James Halliday. The winery sells this wine for $19 per bottle. Our price of $15.00 is an absolute steal for our customers.

My Score 93/100 – WACC Gold Medal.

About The Producer:

The producer of this fantastic Porongurup  Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. They are one of WA’s largest family owned and operated wine producers. The current owners represent the third and fourth generation living and working on the in-Frankland River. It is this family’s love and commitment the Great Southern, as well as the unique combination of gravelly loam soils, warm sunny days and cool nights during the ripening season that produce grapes of intense varietal character and a sense of place. The winery is rated a perfect 5 Red Stars by James Halliday in his 2020 Wine Companion.
