This South Australian Organic Shiraz 2019 is very smooth and intense. The producer is an A.O.C Certified Organic and vegan friendly winemaker and bottler. This ensures the quality control process and organic status of the fruit and wine is maintained from the vineyard to the bottle. The wine shows an abundance of generous fruit characters and has soft, yet full-bodied flavours that linger. Oak maturation has further complexed the wine, adding a supporting rather than a dominating role

Finally, we have a hold of some more Organic wine. This is a full structured, well rounded red wine of immense quality. The flavours of plum and ripe mulberries are intense and are complemented with soft vanillin characters. Ideal with a cheese platter or with any red meat dishes. A superb organic red wine and a phenomenal price at $18.00 per bottle.

About the producer, Organic and Vegan Friendly.

The producer of this 2019 Organic Shiraz is one of the largest producers of organic wine in Australia. Producing approximately 150,000 cases of organic wine annually from 100 acres of vineyards since the property was converted in 2009. To consistently achieve the highest quality fruit, the latest pruning, canopy management and other vineyard practices are undertaken to ensure optimum varietal expression from each harvest. As a core element of their philosophy, the winery endeavours to employ a “minimal intervention” approach to weed and pest control. For people who are allergic to sulphites or get a headache after one glass of wine, Organic wine is the way to go. With minimal intervention, these wines come to you an as natural state as possible, which means less side effects and more enjoyment.

How Is A Wine Vegan?

It means no animal parts are used in the filtration or fining process. Simple as that. Other added positives are the lower levels of sulphites in these wines and a smaller impact on the environment.

What is Shiraz?    

The French and Americans call it Syrah, we call it Shiraz. A versatile variety and well suited to a range of climates, and can be found in most of the grape growing regions of Australia. In hot climates (such as the Barossa Valley of Australia), Shiraz is more consistently full-bodied with softer tannin, jammier fruit and spice notes of liquorice, anise and earthy leather. In many regions, the acidity and tannin levels of Shiraz allows the wines produced from the grape to have favourable aging potential.
