About The Wine
We you guys asked for it in our social media poll and we got it in!
Look at this very new age Purple Sparkling “white”! The colour comes from the infusion of Butterfly Pea Flower which has its origins in Asia and was introduced into Australia and used to revegetate coal mines in Australia. The flower is known to have medicinal properties and is used in traditional medicine for anti-depressant and anti-stress. The base wine in this bubbles is 100% Estate Grown Chardonnay from Collie in Western Australia and has beautiful up-front flavours of peach and a creamy complexity supported by French oak. It also has beautiful mouth texture and a fantastic fine bead. A very pleasant sparkling “white” wine or should we say purple wine?
Comments from Wine Buyer Steve:
Well, this was weird sample to look at when it arrived as a sample however, I was pleasantly surprised by with sparkling wine itself. It is 100% Chardonnay infused with Butterfly Pea Flowers which gives it a fantastic Lavender colour. The Chardonnay is well rounded with good mouth texture and peach flavours. The sparkling bead is very fine and vibrant. An easy drinking sparkling wine that is sure to be a hit at parties. Great Value at $14.00 per bottle.
My Score 90/100 WACC Silver Medal.
About the Producer:
The producer of this New Age Western Australian Sparkling “Purple” White 2019 is from a small family operation located in the Geographe wine region of Western Australia.
