Comments from Wine Buyer Steve
This Denmark Sunsets Shiraz 2017 has great fruit weight and intensity. Typical cool climate black jube, fruit sweetness and medium length with Ripe tannins. It has had good oak treatment, so the oak is well integrated. The fruit quality is outstanding with plenty of dark berry flavours and elegant body. Outstanding value for money at $12.00 per bottle as the winery sells it under brand for $24.00.
91/100 – WACC Silver Medal.

What is Shiraz?
The French and Americans call it Syrah, we call it Shiraz. A versatile variety and well suited to a range of climates, and can be found in most of the grape growing regions of Australia.
In hot climates (such as the Barossa Valley of Australia), Shiraz is more consistently full-bodied with softer tannin, jammier fruit and spice notes of liquorice, anise and earthy leather. In many regions, the acidity and tannin levels of Shiraz allows the wines produced from the grape to have favourable aging potential.
